Inter Milan are keen to beat the likes of Arsenal, AC Milan, and Juventus to the signature of Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper anticipates that the 22-year-old has become Inter’s top target in attack ahead of Albert Gudmundsson.

22-year-old former Bayern Munich striker Zirkzee has certainly been one of the outstanding young strikers in Serie A this season, if not all of Europe.

The Dutchman has scored twelve goals and made four assists in the league this campaign.

Moreover, Zirkzee’s combination of height and physicality with technical ability has provided a real reference point in attack in terms of holdup play.

The 22-year-old has been at the heart of Bologna’s surprise push for Champions League football.

And that means that the Rossoblu may not be able to hold on to their star striker for too long. The interest will certainly be there for this summer transfer window.

The likes of AC Milan and Juventus are both keen, whilst the Gazzetta report that Inter are joining the pair – Zirkzee could soon move to one of Serie A’s biggest clubs.

On the other hand, the Gazzetta anticipate, Arsenal are hoping to bring Zirkzee to the Premier League.

Given this interest in Zirkzee, the Dutchman will not come cheap.

That is especially the case because Bologna will owe a 40% sell-on fee to Bayern Munich from whatever they receive for Zirkzee.

Accordingly, the Gazzetta anticipate, Bologna would expect an offer of a minimum of €60 million.

However, that wouldn’t prove to be too much.

Far from it, the Gazzetta report that Inter are seriously considering paying a fee of that size for Zirkzee.

The Nerazzurri are ready to invest in attack once they’ve made sales.

And while the main target has seemed to be Genoa forward Albert Gudmundsson for weeks, the Gazzetta report that Inter now favour a move for Zirkzee.
