Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta is hoping to seal the Scudetto title soon enough, as he lauds Lautaro Martinez and Federico Dimarco.

The Nerazzurri are only two wins away from clinching the Serie A title. If they manage to beat Cagliari this weekend, they will be able to celebrate the Scudetto with a victory over AC Milan in the Derby della Madonnina on April 22nd.

Therefore, Marotta is excited and optimistic about the notion.

“There is great optimism inside and the desire to explode. We have strong adrenaline,” said the Nerazzurri CEO in his interview with TMW via FcInterNews.

“But there is also great respect for our opponents. We are still missing a few points. So we must concentrate. Cagliari will survive anyway.”

Marotta was attending the presentation of Gianfelice Facchetti’s new book. Therefore, he took the opportunity to remember the author’s late father, Giacinto Facchetti, who was one of the greatest captains in Inter history.

“I admired Giacinto as a kid, the first Panini stickers I had were his, I went to watch training sessions at Pinetina.

“At the time I was at Sampdoria, I met him and discovered how respectful he was towards others. He didn’t talk much, but he represented everything it meant to be captain.”

Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta Lauds Lautaro Martinez For Owning The Captaincy

Speaking of captains, Marotta hailed Lautaro Martinez who has greatly matured since inheriting the armand.

“Lautaro has matured a great deal. He truly made the captain’s armband his. He represents the values of the role and has a great sense of belonging.

“Before the matches, he is the most tense. Behind this tension, there is his love for Inter.

“Dimarco? He’s truly one of the ultras. He is someone who personifies the values of the club.

“But even so, to become captain, you have to go to school. Maybe he can inherited the role when Lautaro… retires,” joked the Nerazzurri CEO.
