Inter Milan are considering Napoli’s Giacomo Raspadori and Giovanni Simeone as alternative targets to Albert Gudmundsson.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews.

Inter are aiming to strengthen in attack for next season.

There is already one notable striker on the way in in the form of Porto striker Mehdi Taremi. The Iranian international will join the Nerazzurri on a free transfer.

However, Inter are not likely to be finished with signing Taremi, Mediaset report.

The Nerazzurri still want to make one more big attacking signing.

The number one target for Inter is Genoa forward Albert Gudmundsson. The 26-year-old has been in outstanding form for the Nerazzurri this season.

Gudmundsson also offers a profile that Inter do not really have in their squad.

The Icelandic international has marked himself out with his deft close control in tight spaces and dribbling ability.

Inter Eye Up Raspadori & Simeone As Gudmundsson Alternatives

Signing Gudmundsson will not be easy, however.

The biggest reason for this would be the 26-year-old’s price tag.

Gudmundsson’s form this season means that Genoa will demand no less than €40 million for the former AZ Alkmaar forward.

Moreover, there will be competition for Gudmundsson’s signature. Therefore, the Grifone will certainly aim to hold out for their desired fee and hope a bidding war breaks out.

Accordingly, Inter are also looking at other possibilities in the attacking positions should they miss out on Gudmundsson.

And according to Mediaset, the Nerazzurri are considering a couple of players currently at Napoli.

Former Sassuolo forward Giacomo Raspadori has been a target for Inter in the past.

Meanwhile, striker Giovanni Simeone is also on the Nerazzurri’s radar, Mediaset reports.

For Simeone, however, Lazio are also interested in signing the Argentine.

New Biancocelesti coach Igor Tudo has worked successfully with Simeone before. The pair had been at Hellas Verona together for one season.
