Inter Milan are hoping for a “miracle” from Cagliari against Napoli to save their derailed dreams of another Serie A title.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan haven’t quite waved goodbye to the Serie A title just yet.

In the table, the Nerazzurri are just one point behind Napoli at the top.

Therefore, anything could happen on the final day of the season. If the Partenopei are to drop points, Inter will have the chance to nip in ahead of the league leaders.

Inter face Como in their final match of the Serie A campaign. Meanwhile Napoli take on Cagliari.

Inter Hope For A “Miracle” From Cagliari Against Napoli

If Inter want to keep believing, they can certainly point to Napoli’s last two results.

The Partenopei have drawn against both Genoa and Parma in their last two matches.

Meanwhile, Napoli’s 1-0 wins against the likes of Monza and Lecce in recent weeks have been deeply uninspiring in terms of performances.

However, the Gazzetta notes, Cagliari will be a bit of a different situation.

The Rossoblu simply won’t have all that great of a motivation to get a result after having mathematically guaranteed themselves another season in Serie A.

Therefore, it will need something like a “miracle” for the Sardinian teams to do Inter a huge favour.
