Young Inter midfielder Giovanni Fabbian now looks to have a clear path to playing at a high level, whether it is at the Nerazzurri or at a different club.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who note that while the 19-year-old is currently focusing on helping Reggina finish the season positively in Serie B, the options for him beyond the end of the campaign all look very positive.

Inter look to have made the right move by sending Fabbian out on loan to Reggina, whilst the Calabrians look to have unearthed and polished a gem.

The move has seen Fabbian’s development skyrocket in his first season in the senior professional game, as his shining form has been a key aspect of the Calabrians’ push for promotion to Serie A.

A brace in a 2-1 win over Ternana allowed Reggina to maintain their place at the top end of the Serie B table, where they currently sit second.

It is not clear what will come next for Fabbian when this season finishes.

If Reggina are promoted to the top flight, the 19-year-old could stay on and get his first taste of Serie A football in an environment in which he is comfortable.

Alternatively, Fabbian could already be considered to be ready to contribute in Inter’s first team, or could find a different club altogether, either on loan or on a permanent transfer, although what is certain is that it would be a high-level club.

In any event, Tuttosport notes, Fabbian’s path may not yet be clear, but his overall trajectory is, and it is very positive.
