The transfer of midfielder Stefano Sensi from Inter Milan to Leicester City has become a “race against time” as no offer has officially arrived yet.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews.

The end of the transfer window is now approaching rapidly.

Tomorrow evening, the window will slam shut and any prospective moves will be off.

Therefore, the time is now very much running out for Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi to complete a move to Leicester City.

The Nerazzurri and the Foxes have been in talks regarding a transfer of the 28-year-old for several weeks now.

And the two clubs have essentially reached an agreement.

The total value of a deal for Sensi would be around €3 million.

And by all accounts Sensi himself would be happy to make the move.

The former Sassuolo midfielder has been on the margins at Inter. He has made a total of just four appearances this season, all from the bench.

And Leicester coach Enzo Maresca has convinced Sensi of the Leicester project.

Stefano Sensi To Leicester City Now A “Race Against Time”

The two clubs may have already all but concluded negotiations on a deal for Sensi.

But Inter have been left waiting for an official offer from Leicester.

The Foxes must submit the signed formal documents in order for a transfer to actually take place.

And as of yet, Sky report, those documents have not arrived at Inter headquarters.

Therefore, for the time being, Sensi’s transfer is on standby.

If the formal offer does not come in in the next few hours, then the Italian could end up being stuck at Inter for the rest of the season.

In that case, Sensi would leave at the end of the season when his contract with the Nerazzurri runs out.

Inter would therefore miss out on the opportunity to cash in on the 28-year-old for the final time.
