Inter Milan Vice-President Javier Zanetti is pleased for the club’s coach Simone Inzaghi, a “man of great values.”

Speaking to reporters at the Palazzo Farnese, via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri Vice-President lauded Inzaghi.

Inzaghi is now coming to the end of his third season as Inter coach.

The 48-year-old joined the Nerazzurri from Lazio in the summer of 2021.

Inzaghi has brought five trophies to Inter so far – two Coppa Italia titles, and the Supercoppa Italiana on three occasions.

And Inter are right on the verge of winning a sixth.

The Nerazzurri could clinch the Serie A title in the derby against AC Milan next week. And if not then, it won’t be too long.

This first league title as a coach will be the crowning achievement of Inzaghi’s time at Inter. He also guided the Nerazzurri to the Champions League final last season.

Javier Zanetti Full Of Praise For Inter Coach Simone Inzaghi

Inter Vice-President Zanetti commented that “I’m very happy for what Simone is currently enjoying.”

“Ever since he arrived, it was immediately clear that he’s a man of great values.”

“And a great deal of passion for football,” Zanetti continued of Inzaghi.

“He also has a great working culture, and along with his staff this work is now bearing its fruits.”

Inzaghi is currently under contract with Inter until the end of June 2025.

However, the Nerazzurri reportedly want to extend the former Lazio coach’s deal until the end of June 2027.

Negotiations are ongoing, and could soon result in a new contract extension for the Inter coach.

And Inzaghi himself has all but confirmed that he intends to stay and sign a new contract with Inter.

The 48-year-old’s work is far from done at the Nerazzurri with this season’s title. He will aim to guide the club into the future.
