Inter Milan are reportedly eager to sign Bologna star Joshua Zirkzee, even if it means relinquishing the cards of Giovanni Fabbian and Valentin Carboni.

The Dutchman has been one of the best revelations of the current Serie A campaign. He has been leading the Rossoblu’s charge toward a shocking Champions League qualification which now appears more likely than not.

Therefore, the 22-year-old has earned the attention of several suitors between Italy and the rest of Europe. He even has admirers in the Premier League.

But despite the competition, La Gazzetta dello Sport (via FcInterNews) believes Inter do stand a chance in the race.

The Nerazzurri have already booked Mehdi Taremi for next season, who will act as a backup for Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez.

Nevertheless, the newly-crowned Italian champions are seeking another coup for the attack, namely Zirkzee.

Bologna are reportedly seeking 60 million euros to part ways with their rising star. However, Inter may have one or two important cards to play in order to lower the asking price.

Inter Milan Willing To Part Ways With Giovvani Fabbian & Joshua Zirkzee To Bring In Joshua Zirkzee

The first is Giovanni Fabbian. The 21-year-old midfielder completed a summer transfer from Inter to Bologna last summer. However, the Nerazzurri retained a buy-back option. They can bring him back to Appiano Gentile in 2025 for just 12 million euros.

Therefore, Inter could decide to waive this clause in exchange for a discount on Zirkzee.

Moreover, the Serie A champions can also sacrifice Valentin Carboni. The Argentine’s market value has reportedly reached 30 million euros following an impressive campaign on loan at Monza.

The Nerazzurri can also raise additional funds by selling some of their other loaned-out youngsters. The list includes Mattia Zanotti and the two Esposito brothers.
