The Lega Serie A are reportedly making plans to avoid a scenario where Inter Milan celebrate the Scudetto from the comfort of the sofa.

The Nerazzurri currently sit on top of the table with 14 points separating them from their closest chasers who also happen to be their next opponents. Of course, we’re talking about AC Milan who lie second in the standings.

The two crosstown rivals will meet on Monday in what will be Inter’s first chance to mathematically clinch the title.

Simone Inzaghi’s men can celebrate the Serie A title with a historic victory over the Rossoneri.

But if they miss out on the opportunity, they’ll have to wait for the following weeks.

While the Lega Serie A hasn’t yet released the timing of the fixtures, they will reportedly take into account the fact that no one would like to see the Nerazzurri securing the title while sitting at home, explains La Repubblica via FcInterNews.

On the following weekend, Inter will host Torino while Milan travel to Turin to take on Juventus. These fixtures should ensue between the 27th and 28th of April.

Lega Serie A Would Like To See Inter Milan Secure The Title On The Pitch

The source doesn’t provide any details about the timings. However, the organizers are seeking the ideal schedule to avoid a scenario that sees Inter crowned while inactive.

That is because the Serie A fans, and especially the Nerazzurri faithful, would like to see Inzaghi’s men celebrate on the pitch.

Nevertheless, a victory in the Derby della Madonnina over Milan would solve the issue once and for all. It would also make for a historic occasion, much to the delight of Inter and the Serie A organizers,
