Inter have decided to keep a low profile as far as the acquisition of Mehdi Taremi is concerned, also because the situation created some issues between him and Porto, only hinting at his arrival, but there’s no doubt he’ll play in Milan next season, Tuttomercatoweb relayed.

His brother visited the city a couple of weeks ago to handle some matters related to the transfer. The marksman was supposed to take the medicals in February, around the same time Piotr Zielinski did it. However, they were postponed due to the leaks.

Inter eventually managed to organize the physical tests more discreetly, and Taremi passed them. It’s unclear at this stage whether he has inked a pre-contract or if he’ll put pen to paper directly in July at the end of his expiring deal.

The 31-year-old will finally land in Serie A after being close to doing so for multiple windows. Milan almost signed him last summer. He hasn’t had his best season after the saga, tallying 8 goals and 5 assists in 30 appearances. He has sat out multiple matches in 2024 due to the AFC Asian Cup and because he fell out of favor.

Our Take on Inter and Taremi

This is a fait accompli, and they’ll be hoping he returns to his previous levels thanks to the change of scenery. Instead, the question marks about their attack are whether they’ll manage to offload Marko Arnautovic without taking a bath and whom they will target to round it out.
