Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is set to keep his place in the starting eleven for the Argentine national team in their World Cup group stage match against Mexico today.

This according to Argentine broadcaster TyC Sports, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri striker will be included in the starting eleven as the Albiceleste go in search of a rebound win after losing their opener to Saudi Arabia.

Martinez had failed to get on the scoresheet for Argentina in their shock opening loss to Saudi Arabia, although the 25-year-old did have two first-half goals ruled out for offsides.

The Inter striker remains a key player for the Albiceleste in attack, however, and it is likely that he will start against Mexico in a match that is virtually must-win for Lionel Scaloni’s side.

Tyc Sports’ complete predicted starting eleven for this evening’s match is as follows:

Argentina (4-3-3): Emiliano Martínez; Molina/Montiel, Lisandro Martínez/Romero, Otamendi, Acuña/Tagliafico; De Paul, Paredes, Fernandez, Messi , Lautaro, Di María.
