Ivan Toney feels Brentford deserved three points from their 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Saturday night.

Brentford’s winless run continued to seven games but Thomas Frank’s side wanted it more against the Reds. As a result, it feels like United have lost ground in the race for a Champions League spot.

Toney had a goal ruled out by VAR and the Bees hit the woodwork three times. It was a mixture of Andre Onana being good and Brentford being wasteful.

The striker, who is looking for a move away from Brentford in the summer, offered a sour assessment of the game during a post-match interview on Sky Sports.

Toney said: “It feels like points dropped…”

It was the same old story of United conceding far too many chances on goal. Time and time again we score goals to take the lead and throw it away minutes later.

Giving away the lead so late in the game comes as a huge blow.
