Jamie O’Hara has torn into the Tottenham Hotspur players after their embarrassing defeat to Mura in the UEFA Conference League.

Spurs were last night defeated by a team that was founded just nine years ago, leaving it mathematically impossible for them to catch Rennes and finish as group winners.

Considering this is Europe’s third-tier competition, you’d expect Tottenham, with Antonio Conte at the helm, to be defeating sides of Mura’s calibre relatively comfortably.

Jamie O’Hara, formerly of Tottenham and now a pundit on Sky Sports News among others, was not at all impressed with some of the performances he saw on the night.

O’Hara named and shamed the players that he felt fell embarrassingly short of the standard on Thursday night, revealing his belief that they should never win the shirt again.

Conte has his work cut out to turn this hugely underwhelming Tottenham team into something that the fanbase can be proud of. Currently, they’re far from it.

With every game that passes, Conte will learn who deserves to be in the team and who doesn’t. That gives him the opportunity to weed out the passengers – and there’s a few…
