The agent of Arsenal and Italy midfielder Jorginho, Joao Santos, has said that Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli ‘can call him’ if he needs him, and also provided an update on rumoured talks between his client and Fiorentina

Jorginho is out of contract in North London at the end of the 2023-24 season, however there is an option to extend by a further year.

As a 52-time Italy international, it is no surprise that there have been links with a potential return to Serie A before the end of his playing career.

Joao Santos, who gave an interview to TV Play on Tuesday, admitted that there have not yet been any formal talks with any team in Italy, but he did provide details on rumours with Juventus and Fiorentina.

Joao Santos admitted that he would be surprised if Juventus came in for Jorginho due to their current roster of midfielders.

“In my opinion, they don’t need a player like Jorginho,” he said, reported via TMW

“If Giuntoli ever needed a midfielder like Jorginho, though, he can always contact me.”

The agent was also asked about Fiorentina, to which he replied: “First of all we need to understand if they are actually thinking about Jorginho.

“It’s an ambitious project, a club that wants to aim for the Champions League, for us there would be no problems. At the moment, however, Fiorentina has not contacted us.”
