Josko Gvardiol and Jack Grealish are the only two players unavailable for tomorrow night’s Premier League clash with Brentford. Pep Guardiola revealed the injury status of his squad during his pre-game press conference ahead of tomorrow night’s game.

Speaking before his team takes on Thomas Frank’s side Guardiola revealed everyone was available for selection besides Josko Gvardiol and Jack Grealish. The City manager said when asked about the status of his squad: “They (Grealish and Gvardiol) are not ready for tomorrow. Everyone else is OK.”

Despite the key pair being set to miss the game due to injury it is a boost for Manchester City to have everyone else available for tomorrow night’s game. The champions will need contributions from their entire squad as they have a busy month ahead on the calendar. They will face Brentford on Wednesday evening before travelling to the Vitality Stadium to face Bournemouth on Saturday. City’s busy schedule continues after that when they face Luton Town at Kenilworth Road in the FA Cup after they face Bournemouth.

There was a positive update from Pep Guardiola on the status of Jack Grealish after City’s draw with Chelsea. He informed the media that the groin injury suffered by the England international wasn’t as bad as first feared and he could return within 10 days.

Josko Gvardiol’s return seems to be on a similar timeline to that of Jack Grealish. Speaking after City’s win over FC Copenhagen last week Guardiola revealed that the Croatian defender would miss 2-3 weeks due to an ankle ligament injury.

Manchester City will be hoping to have Josko Gvardiol and Jack Grealish fit and firing as soon as possible. The pair have a key role to play for the champions as the rest of the season unfolds.
