RB Leipzig star Timo Werner has been linked with a move to Manchester United.

Coming to Old Trafford used to be a dream for most players around the world but now many players do not fancy a move to United.

Dean Jones, speaking on the Ranks FC Ultras Podcast, has shared what he knows about Werner’s possible transfer to the Red Devils.

“There are reservations about Timo Werner, from Timo Werner’s end, about coming to the Premier League and signing for a big club under pressure. It didn’t end well for him at Chelsea and I don’t know if he’s scarred a bit from that, and from what I understand he has some reservations about joining Manchester United,” Jones said.

Werner’s time at Chelsea has scarred him after how it turned out for him at the Premier League club.

The German attacker came to England with a lot of expectations after consistently performing in the Bundesliga but his move to Chelsea was disastrous, making him skeptical of coming back to the same league now.

Not many players can put on the heavy Man United shirt and play for the club with all the pressure surrounding them.

Werner knows how tough it is to play in the Premier League and how the fans and media can turn on you after a few bad performances.

The scrutiny at a top level club is different and to deal with that you need to have the courage, determination and character to face anything thrown at you.
