Jurgen Klinsmann and Fabian Johnson back on good terms

After being sent home by Jurgen Klinsmann after the U.S. Men's National Team's disappointing 3-2 loss to Mexico in the CONCACAF Cup, Fabian Johnson appears to be back in the good graces of the U.S. soccer coach.

One of the finest talents in the U.S. player pool, Klinsmann removed Johnson from the national team fold after the German-born midfielder voluntarily removed himself from the Oct. 10 match against Mexico. Johnson felt his hamstring had tightened up, while Klinsmann felt he could have played on.

"I already felt something in my hamstring at halftime,'' Johnson said Monday to ESPN FC in speaking up about his departure for the first time. "That decision I had to make for me, but also for my team, in my opinion. If we have to defend and I can't run anymore, it doesn't help me or the team. We talked about it.''

Johnson, who plays his club football with Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga (Germany's top league), was able to make his return to the national team last Friday, scoring a goal in the U.S.'s first 2018 World Cup Qualifying game against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The U.S. won the match 6-1.

For U.S. soccer fans, it should be a relieving sight see one of the country's most talented players back on the field and scoring goals.

The United States plays its second World Cup Qualifying match against Trinidad and Tobago Tuesday night.
