Massimiliano Allegri reveals he wants to continue his managerial career for many years, but remains ‘fully focused’ on the final part of the season with Juventus.

The Italian tactician briefly spoke about his plans for the future during a press conference on Friday.

The Livorno-born tactician met the media on the eve of a Serie A game against Lazio. He will make his 500th appearance in Serie A as a coach against Lazio, so he was asked about his long-term career targets.

“I love and am passionate about this sport. I’ve been involved in football for 47 years,” he replied.

“I am happy with what I’ve done, but I still want to have fun, work and stay on the pitch; otherwise, I’d get bored. However, the important thing is to be focused, think about tomorrow, and live these 55 days with desire and enthusiasm.”

Allegri also faced questions about his stay at Juventus beyond the summer, given that his contract runs out in June 2025. The 56-year-old said he and the club directors hadn’t spoken about the future during the break, as everyone was only focused on the team’s targets on the pitch.

However, Allegri said he was not surprised to hear director Maurizio Scanavino confirm trust in him during the international break.
