Juventus have formally closed their window early through the words of their top director, but they keep working under the radar, and they hold out hope their long-time target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic will force his way out of Saudi Arabia, TuttoSport informs (via Mediaset).

The midfielder isn’t totally happy with how things have gone in the Middle East. His entourage relayed that he could be ready to leave Al Hilal, more likely in the summer than in January. He has tallied 9 goals and 5 assists in 22 across all competitions so far. His team spent €40M to sign him from Lazio.

Juventus will have room for an acquisition once Moise Kean departs, but the conditions to add Milinkovic-Savic remain to be seen. The striker might join Atletico Madrid even if Angel Correa stays put. The agreement between the two sides has been sealed.

Federico Bernardeschi, who would cost basically nothing, remains the most likely signing should the Old Lady decide to make a move and not simply stand pat as they announced. Monza have asked for Fabio Miretti on loan, but he could leave only if they found another midfielder.

Our Take on Juventus and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

Since he’s in no way washed, he’d be the exact type of opportunity they are waiting for. The exodus back from Saudi Arabia has alreadt started. It’d be highway robbery if they could somehow bring him in for pretty cheap.
