Juventus are reportedly preparing to battle it out with Inter Milan for the services of Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram.

According to Tuttosport via FcInterNews, the Bianconeri have identified the 22-year-old as the right profile to fill the gap in the middle of the park.

Juventus coach Max Allegri is having to deal with major headaches in midfield. Paul Pogba is currently suspended after failing an anti-doping test.

To add insult to injury, Nicolo Fagioli’s future is now uncertain after finding himself in the middle of a betting investigation.

Therefore, the source expects the Old Lady to seek reinforcements in January. As the report explains, Juventus view Thuram as the right fit for the role.

Despite his young age, the France international has significant experience under his belt. This is his fourth season as a regular starter in Ligue 1.

Therefore, Inter and Juventus could be on a collision course for the player’s services.

Juventus Will Compete With Inter Milan For The Signature Of French International Khephren Thuram

The Nerazzurri signed Khephren’s older brother Marcus Thuram in the summer as a free agent. The striker has already cemented himself as a regular starter in Simone Inzaghi’s starting formation.

On the other hand, the midfielder’s father Lilian Thuram played for Juventus during his heyday. He represented the club between 2001 and 2006.

Khephren developed through Monaco’s youth ranks before signing for Nice in 2019. Although his contract will expire in 2025, the French club is asking for 40 million euros to part ways with the young player.
