Franck Kessie will be the next player to return to Milanello ahead of the upcoming season, having been on international duty with Ivory Coast. Now, he will be able to focus on Milan and above all, the renewal.

Ivory Coast made it to the quarter-finals of the Olympics but couldn’t beat Spain earlier today, losing 5-2 after the game went to extra-time (2-2 at FT). Given that they were so close to going through, it must hurt a bit for the players.

As reported by MilanNews, Kessie will return to Milanello straight away and he won’t have any additional vacation. This means that we could see him in some of the friendlies that the Rossoneri have scheduled for August.

He will also have time to sort the contract renewal, as promised in a recent interview. The current deal will expire in 2022 and Milan are eager to keep their midfield star for many more years.
