Kevin De Bruyne, Riyad Mahrez score two goals each to lead Man City to derby win

Manchester City completed a season sweep of rival Manchester United with a 4-1 derby victory Sunday.

The heroes for City on Sunday were Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez who scored two goals each. De Bruyne set the tone early with his first goal coming just a few of minutes into the match. He then broke a 1-1 tie later in the first half with his second goal of the day.

The third goal for City came in the 68th minute when a corner kick from De Bruyne found Mahrez at the top of the box and was blasted through traffic into the back of the net.

In stoppage time, City added its fourth goal of the game when replay showed Mahrez was narrowly onside after his second goal of the game was initially disallowed.

United's only goal came in the 22nd minute from former City youth player Jadon Sancho.

With the win, City extended its lead over Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table to six points. United fell to fifth after Arsenal climbed to fourth place with a 3-2 win against Watford earlier on Sunday.
