Ahead of AC Milan’s clash against Lecce this weekend, a report has emerged about the conditions of some players at Milanello, including an update about Ismael Bennacer and Luka Jovic.

This morning, Calciomercato.com reported that Simon Kjaer could return in some capacity, given he trained with the group today. The Dane has recently been training individually after picking up a slight injury on international duty.

However, the same cannot be said for Tommaso Pobega, who requires a few more days of individual training and gym work before participating in group training. This is not bad, though, given he is still set to return ahead of schedule.

Additionally, there has been an update about the conditions of Jovic and Bennacer, who have both had flu symptoms in the past few days. Nevertheless, they have both been given the ‘OK’ and are back training with the group, and therefore, they will be available for the game this weekend.

The news that Bennacer has recovered and will be able to play is welcomed, given Ruben Loftus-Cheek is suspended for the clash, and the report suggests that the Algerian midfielder could take the Englishman’s role within the side. With this in mind, there is a possibility that Stefano Pioli could change his formation to a 4-3-3 instead of using the 4-2-3-1, which he has used for a lot of the season.
