Kylian Mbappe scored his 20th Ligue 1 goal of the season on Friday night to help Paris Saint-Germain win 2-1 away at Strasbourg.

Mbappe rolled a 20-yard shot into an empty net to give PSG a 31st-minute lead after Strasbourg keeper Alaa Bellaarouch's attempted clearance had deflected off Marco Asensio.

This was Bellaarouch's Ligue 1 debut and it had gotten off to an excellent start before his blunder gifted PSG the opening goal.

The 22-year-old Moroccan stopper produced a superb penalty save from Mbappe in the sixth minute after Lucas Perrin had fouled Randal Kolo Muani.

But PSG went 2-0 up early in the second half when Asensio finished calmly from 10 yards after being assisted by a stylish pass from the outside of Mbappe's right boot.

Strasbourg pulled a goal back courtesy of a close-range volley from Dilane Bakwa but PSG held on for a victory that took them nine points clear at the top of the table.

Mbappe has now scored at least 20 league goals in each of the past four seasons.

Highlights: Strasbourg 1-2 PSG
