Real Madrid will make Kylian Mbappe their highest paid player when he joins the club next month.

The France captain has moved a step closer to Los Blancos after confirming his intention to leave Paris Saint-Germain when his contract expires.

Mbappe hasopted against a renewal at the Parc des Princes and will now leave on a free transfer to join Real Madrid.

No confirmation of his arrival in Madrid is expected until after their UEFA Champions League final with Borussia Dortmund on June 1.

As per reports from French outlet RMC Sport, talks are ongoing over the details of Mbappe’s contract, with three year deal on the table in Madrid.

Mbappe’s representatives are pushing for a greater share of image rights than Real Madrid normally allow alongside a blockbuster salary.

He is tipped to earn over €21m in basic annual salary which puts him just ahead of Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham, as the club’s top earners for next season.
