The contract of Presnel Kimpembe expires next year and he’s yet to agree to a new deal with Paris Saint-Germain. As a result, there’s speculation over his future in the French capital.

Kimpembe has noted that he would like to have an experience abroad before the end of his career. And a departure next summer would not be excluded. A club that would reportedly like to enlist him is Atlético de Madrid.

Le Parisien reported on Wednesday that the Spanish club is revisiting its interest in Kimpembe and monitoring the situation. Atletico Madrid was linked to the 27-year-old last summer transfer window.

Furthermore, with Kylian Mbappe receiving the vice-captain and Kimpembe stating he was unaware of the news, it could be the last straw for him to begin looking at clubs abroad.

When it comes to a possible transfer fee, Transfermarkt puts Kimpembe’s value at €40 million, but it will be interesting to see if PSG recoups that amount with one year left on his contract.
