Lazio will reportedly challenge Inter Milan for the services of Albert Gudmundsson, and they’re also keeping tabs on Valentin Carboni.

The Italian capital squad will be looking to revamp their attacking department for next season under the tutelage of their new manager Igor Tudor.

The Biancocelesti could lose the services of Felipe Anderson whose contract will expire at the end of the season. The future of Mattia Zaccagni is also uncertain.

So according to La Repubblica via FcInterNews, Lazio are targeting Gudmundsson for next term.

The Genoa star has been one of the main revelations of the Serie A campaign. The 26-year-old is a second striker capable of scoring and assisting, while also possessing incredible dribbling skills.

In recent days, some sources claimed Inter are in the lead for the Icelandic star’s signature.

Nevertheless, the Nerazzurri still have to strike an agreement with Genoa who are requesting a figure between 30 and 35 million euros.

But as the source explains, Lazio considers this figure to be excessive.

Another player that the Aquile are monitoring is Inter youngster Carboni.

The 19-year-old is spending the current campaign on loan at Monza. Earlier this week, he made his senior debut for Argentina, thus earning himself further acclaim.

The report believes Inter could decide the attacking midfielder’s future in the next few weeks. A sale with a buy-back option represents a potential solution.

The Nerazzurri have already applied this formula with young Italian midfielder Giovanni Fabbian who signed for Bologna last summer.
