Lazio are one of a handful of clubs keeping a close eye on Charlotte FC defender Karol Swiderski, reports suggest.
The 26-year-old Polish centre forward is a recent arrival in the MLS, joining Charlotte from Greek outfit PAOK Thessaloniki last January in a deal worth around €4.55m.
The departure of Vedat Muriqi last summer leaves Lazio without a true backup for star striker Ciro Immobile, forcing Maurizio Sarri to adapt a winger when the 32-year-old is unavailable.
According to sources via TopBin90, Lazio and a number of other Italian sides are closely following Swiderski, keeping an eye on his development at Charlotte ahead of a possible move in the summer.
Contracted to the MLS outfit until 2025, Swiderski has made 30 appearances so far for the club, scoring 10 goals and providing four assists.
A tactically flexible forward, Swiderski is also a regular in the Polish national team, having made 19 caps since his debut in March 2021, scoring eight goals in that time. He made one appearance at the World Cup in Qatar, playing 45 minutes against Argentina.
