Napoli striker Giovanni Simeone has been offered to Lazio, but the club aren’t interested in progressing to a deal.
The Biancocelesti have already been hard at work in the summer transfer window, pulling off deals for Loum Tchaouna, Tijjani Noslin, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Gaetano Castrovilli and Nuno Tavares, trying to kickstart a new era under Marco Baroni.
In recent days, reports suggested that Lazio had been offered Simeone, who is looking for a way out of Napoli following the arrival of Antonio Conte. The Argentinian striker struggled for regular playing time last term and isn’t part of the new project in the Campania capital.
As reported by Alfredo Pedulla, Lazio are not interested in signing Simeone from Napoli this summer, wanting to place their trust in Valentin Castellanos following Ciro Immobile’s recent move to Besiktas. They are also prepared to try out Noslin in the role.
In the meantime, the Biancocelesti are working hard to try and set up a deal with Sassuolo for Armand Lauriente, trying to close the €4-5m gap between the offer and the price tag.
