The fog won’t lift for the Aquile as they fall to a third straight loss in 10 days at home against Udinese. A dire defensive showing cost the Biancocelesti in Rome this evening under the Olimpico lights.

The visitors took the lead through Lorenzo Lucca in the 47th minute to start a string of three goals in six minutes. Lazio fought back and grabbed an equaliser coutesy of Lautaro Giannetti’s own goal. The pendulum swung back in the Zebrette’s favour two minutes later as midfielder Oier Zarraga put his side ahead once more. Some dodgy defending was at play and the pace of Udinese’s wide players caused issues for their hosts.

After another disappointing defeat here are our Lazio Player Ratings:

Lazio (4-3-3)

Ivan Provedel – 6

Not at fault for the goals. Some top drawer saves sprinkled throughout. The Italian ‘keeper was almost caught being too confident against Lorenzo Lucca in the dying minutes. Injured himself in the opposition’s box after coming up for a corner

Manuel Lazzari – 5.5

Daeted down the touchline the odd time to pose a threat to the Friuliani but it wasn’t enough. Defensively he won some and lost some against Hassane Kamara.

Alessio Romagnoli – 4

Uncharacteristically poor performance from the centre half tonight. Lost both Lucca for the opener and Thauvin when Udinese regained their advantage. Not at the races at all.

Mario Gila – 5

Followed the example of the whole backline by losing his bearings in the second half. Very strange as he began quite promisingly. Difficult one to explain

Elseid Hysaj – 4.5

Overran by the wide players and left a gap that the visitors exploited for the opener. Really struggled to cover his flank tonight.

Danilo Cataldi – 6

Udinese denied the midfielder the spaces to get his passing game going properly. Physical as always but he tired and his influence waned as the game progressed.

Matias Vecino – 6

Probably started this game still not at 100% fitness but there weren’t many other options for Sarri. Solid showing though as he mixed things up in the centre by doing a serious amount of running and also came close on a few occasions but the final action let him down.

Luis Alberto – 6.5

The Spaniard produced an impressive performance that just lacked an edge. Engineered situations for the Biancocelesti  eith great technical ability but the last few passes didn’t come off.

Felipe Anderson – 6

Decent 45 minutes for the winger. Gave Udines something to think about wide but his teammates weren’t always on the same wavelength. A shame as he put a big effort in

Ciro Immobile – 5

A few issues for Lazio’s striker. Only got one or two proper opportunities and struggled to get things right playing the ball to teammates. Not part of the action for large stretches.

Mattia Zaccagni – 6.5

High intensity performance form the Italian. Hit the post as the game began and this encouraged him to irritate Udinese. Played a role in getting the equaliser.

Substitutes:

Gustav Isaksen – 4.5

Doesn’t impact the game. Another disappointing performance. Blunt display from the 22 year old.

Taty Castellanos – 5

Right mindset but hardly got a look in up front. Frustrating for the Argentine.

Daichi Kamada – 4.5

Not much to show for his half an hour of game time. Didn’t seem able to crack open the Zebrette.

Pedro – N/A

Christos Mandas – N/A
