Lazio are interested in making a move for exciting Torino midfielder Samuele Ricci, who won’t be easy to pry from Piedmont.

One of the Biancocelesti’s key targets this summer is a new midfielder to play backup to Danilo Cataldi, with current options like Marcos Antonio failing to hit the mark.

Lazio have considered a number of midfield targets in recent weeks, like Gedson Fernandes and Lucas Torreira, but have not set up a move yet.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Maurizio Sarri is keen for Lazio to pick up Ricci this summer, believing the Torino talent would be the perfect fit for the squad.

The Granata have no interest in losing the 21-year-old, who is contracted to the club until 2026, and so will try to retain their midfielder.

Lazio are currently exploring the feasibility of a possible move and could approach Torino to sound out a deal in the coming weeks.

Last season, Ricci scored two goals and provided one assist in 28 Serie A appearances.
