Lazio have set their sights on full back Gabriel Gudmundsson and forward Albert Gudmundsson.

As reported by Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the pair – who are not related – both match coach Maurizio Sarri’s requests for reinforcements in next month’s transfer window and now work is being carried out to understand the feasibility of the deals.

Albert Gudmundsson is a 24-year-old Icelandic forward contracted to Dutch side AZ Alkmaar. Valued at around €5 million, with his contract expiring in June next year, the player can play on both the left and right sides of a front three, as well as in a central striker role.

Gabriel Gudmundsson is a 22-year-old Swedish left back contracted to Lille. He moved from Groningen in the summer for around €6 million but has not fully settled yet in France and so he could already be on the way out.

Lazio sporting director Igli Tare is now hard at work working on the two deals, knowing that he needs to provide Sarri some reinforcements in next month’s transfer window.
