Lazio are in close contact with the entourage of Matteo Guendouzi as they work on a deal for the Olympique Marseille midfielder.

The Biancocelesti have picked up five reinforcements so far this summer – Valentin Castellanos, Daichi Kamada, Gustav Isaksen, Nicolo Rovella and Luca Pellegrini – and a few more players could arrive before the end of the transfer window.

Lazio are still in the market for a new midfielder and backup goalkeeper, and the club have started to accelerate in recent days as the end of the month, keen to complete more business.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Lazio have been in close contact with Guendouzi’s entourage, discussing a possible move to Rome, but they still need to negotiate with Marseille.

The Ligue 1 side wants around €20 million for the 24-year-old but could let him go for an offer of around €15 million, an accessible price for the Biancocelesti considering their €42 million sale of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic earlier this summer.
