The January transfer window is approaching, and that means the opportunity to improve their squad and extend the players they want to keep long-term.

Le Parisien  reports that Paris Saint-Germain is in talks about extending the contracts of three players. Marquinhos is under contract until 2024, but the Ligue 1 giants want to lock up their captain long-term and keep him for the remainder of his prime years.

The French media outlet states that PSG adores the 27-year-old and wants to keep him for as long as possible; it appears that a contract extension is on the horizon for the defender.

Another player that could be extending his tenure for another season is forward Ángel Di María. According to the report, the two parties have a verbal agreement to exercise the optional year on the 33-year-old’s contract, keeping him in Paris for the 2022-23 season.

When it comes to Leandro Paredes, Le Parisien cannot confirm the contract extension talks. The midfielder has two things against him when it comes to the possibility of remaining in the French capital long-term.

The first is that he hasn’t turned himself into an undisputed starter, and the second is that Paredes has some value in the transfer market. Nonetheless, it seems the French giants will decide on his future after the season.
