Leicester City coach Enzo Maresca is pushing to sell a player this month so the Foxes can sign Inter Milan’s Stefano Sensi.

This according to UK broadcaster Sky Sports, via FCInterNews.

Leicester have set their sights on former Sassuolo midfielder Sensi.

The driving force behind the Championship club’s interest is their coach Enzo Maresca.

The Italian coach took charge of the Foxes last summer, after they had been relegated from the Premier League.

And so far they are thriving under Maresca’s stewardship, top of the Englash second division league table.

Maresca, who was formerly assistant coach to Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, is shaping Leicester into his preferred style of play.

And Sensi is a player who the coach believes would fit in well.

The Italian international joined Inter from Sassuolo in the summer of 2019. However, injuries have been a big reason why he has not played regularly.

Sensi has played for the likes of Sampdoria and Monza on loan.

The 28-year-old has been back at Inter since last summer. However, he has barely featured, not starting once this season despite largely being fit.

Leicester Coach Enzo Maresca Pushes For Stefano Sensi – But Foxes Must First Sell A Player

According to UK broadcaster Sky Sports, Leicester coach Maresca is the main reason why the Championship club are so keen to get a deal done for Sensi.

And the two clubs have agreed a deal for the 28-year-old.

Inter would be happy to offload the Italian international this month. They would receive a small fee and get the wages of a player who is a very peripheral figure in the team off their books.

But the fact remains that Leicester would need to make a sale first.

The East Midlands club are aiming to do so in the next couple weeks.

And their coach Maresca is pushing for it to happen.
