Paris Saint-Germain drew 1-1 against Stade de Reims on Sunday at the Parc des Princes. However, despite securing a point, the result feels like a loss for the capital club since they were seconds away from leaving with all three points.

The lone goal scorer for the French giants was Neymar Jr., who found himself in the right place and at the right time. After a chaotic deflection inside the box, the loose ball would find the 30-year-old, who beat the Reims goalkeeper.

Despite conceding a goal late in the matchup, the Brazil international believes that the team played well, which many will debate.

“The team played well,” Neymar told Prime Video (h/t Canal Supporters). “We thought we had done the hardest part, we played quite a bit at times, but we conceded this goal at the very end.”

PSG finds itself in a tough fight for the Ligue 1 title as they currently sit three points ahead of RC Lens and five points clear of Olympique de Marseille. The January transfer window closes on Tuesday and after Sunday’s draw, many hope one or two players will be arriving to improve the squad.

Nonetheless, Christophe Galtier’s squad must put the loss behind them. The reigning Ligue 1 champions will head on the road to face Montpellier on Wednesday at the Stade de la Mosson.
