After the departure of Arthur Cabral to Benfica, Fiorentina could lose yet another center-forward from their ranks. The arrivals of M’Bala Nzola and Lucas Beltran this window means the future of Christian Kouamé is up in the air. The Ivorian has already been tracked by Ligue 1 outfit Nice and Bundesliga’s TSG Hoffenheim.

Exclusive reports from Footmercato indicate that the French outfit FC Nantes have asked Fiorentina for details regarding Kouamé. The Canaries want to sign the former Genoa and Cittadella striker on loan, with the option to extend his services for an additional year.

Talks are currently being undertaken by the two sides to figure out the best possible scenario for the Ivory Coast international. Nantes intend to put forth just €5.5M as their initial offer in case they wish to buy him later, while the Viola demand at least €10M.

Moreover, there is the question of wages, as Kouamé wants €1.5M net per season, which is more than what Nantes are offering. With all such details in the works, it will be a while before the two clubs come to an agreement.
