After getting off to the best possible start in their first pre-season friendly against Derby last week, Manchester United are set to face another Championship side as they prepare to make the trip to Loftus Road.

The 2-1 win over Derby saw Ole Gunnar Solskjaer use 23 players and the Norwegian manager is expected to make wholesale changes again in the game against Queens Park Rangers.

Tom Heaton, who made his debut for the club last week, could start again. Alex Telles is expected to start in place of Brandon Williams, who could move to right-back instead. Aaron Wan-Bissaka is an option at right-back but could be set for action after the interval.

The two centre-back’s could partner each other again. Only Axel Tuanzebe and Teden Mengi played for longer than 45 minutes against Derby. Should the pair be deemed a short rest, Will Fish and Di’Shon Bernard could start the game instead.

In midfield, Solskjaer could opt for a more senior side, as opposed to the two academy graduates against Derby. Nemanja Matic is an option in place of Dylan Levitt, whilst James Garner could be trusted again.

Further up the pitch, Facundo Pellistri impressed in his short cameo and is likely to start whilst Jesse Lingard has done little to not deserve a go from the first whistle.

Hannibal Mejbri is in line for an extended run in the team, having only featured for 11 minutes against Derby. The Tunisian returned late from international duty and has only been training with the team for a few days.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Heaton; Williams, Tuanzebe, Mengi, Telles; Matic, Garner; Pellistri, Lingard, Shoretire; Greenwood
