Former Italy coach Marcello Lippi is happy seeing Daniele de Rossi in charge of AS Roma.

De Rossi is yet to be beaten as Roma coach.

Lippi said at a documentary presentation: "De Rossi is a good boy and you know about our past, I hope he can continue to do well as he started in Roma."

Lippi also spoke of the great comparisons between Francesco Totti and Alex Del Piero.

He said: "I don't see why we need to necessarily make a comparison between two players, Totti and Del Piero were two very great players and around both of them I built great teams that gave me, and have given us, great satisfactions.

"What sense does it make now to say that one is stronger than the other? Messi and Zidane have marked two different eras, in his own period Messi was the greatest ever so much so that he won many Ballon d'Ors. Same speech for Zidane who was a champion with whom I won many things at Juventus, luckily he didn't win the World Cup because we won it!"
