Liverpool winger Takumi Minamino is expected to remain at Anfield this summer, despite departing the club on loan in January.

The Japan star spent a number of months with Southampton last term, suggesting his future may not be on Merseyside.

But reputable Goal journalist Neil Jones now claims Minamino is likely to stay with Liverpool this summer.

The above report states the Reds are open for business regarding Neco Williams and Nat Phillips, while both Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi have uncertain fates.

Minamino, who Transfermarkt value at just £200,000 shy of £11 million, arrived at Liverpool in 2019 for a fee of £7 million.

The winger has made a total of 31 appearances for the Reds, scoring four goals in the process – with all of his strikes coming last season, before his loan switch to Southampton.
