Liverpool travel away to Old Trafford to face bitter rivals Manchester United. The fixture takes place on April 7 at an unusual 3:30 PM (BST) KO, due to potential fan trouble. This is our Liverpool predicted lineup.

Liverpool Predicted Lineup vs Manchester United in Huge Derby Clash

How Liverpool Have Lined-up Recently

Caoimhin Kelleher has impressed in goal, with Conor Bradley (another unlikely hero) at right-back and Joe Gomez at left-back. Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate are the centre-backs.

Wataru Endo missed the last match; Alexis Mac Allister played as a holding midfielder. The Argentine was accompanied by Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai in midfield.

Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, and Mohamed Salah are the nailed-on front three when all fit.

Liverpool’s Recent Form and Tactics Ahead of Manchester United Fixture

Liverpool returned to the top of the table with two goals in the final 15 minutes of their match with Sheffield United: it ended 3-1 to the Reds.

Whilst there wasn’t a “comeback” or a dramatically late winner, Jurgen Klopp’s side didn’t really have a threatening chance between Sheffield United’s equaliser in the 58th minute and Mac Allister’s screamer in the 76th.

However, leaving it late against United may not be a problem: the Red Devils have thrown away 5 points in the last two matches in the 99th minute or later.

Kelleher was forced into a big save after 30 seconds from a tap-in at the back-post from James McAtee.

However, after this chance, the Blades generated an expected goals of just 0.13.

It was a truly dominant Liverpool display: an all-time Premier League record of 83.1% possession was achieved.

Liverpool Injuries to Consider

Ibrahima Konate made his first start following injury whilst Curtis Jones and Andy Robertson made appearances off the bench against Sheffield United.

We expect Robertson, Klopp’s “very important” left-back, to start. Meanwhile, for Endo “we have to see”.

On April 3, Klopp revealed that “From next week” Diogo Jota, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Alisson Becker will “be hopefully in parts of team training”.

Stefan Bajcetic is still in his recovery process, Thiago Alcantara is out for the foreseeable future, and Joel Matip will likely not feature again this season.
