The Reds have been very busy with transfer outgoings over the past few weeks.
After struggling to offload fringe and loan players last summer, Michael Edwards and the rest of the transfer team have begun to move on from some of these hard to sell players.
So far this summer Liverpool have sold Harry Wilson (Fulham), Taiwo Awoniyi (Union Berlin) and Marko Grujic (FC Porto).
Harry Wilson gathered a lot of interest but ultimately made a £12.60 million transfer to Championship side Fulham.
Last season Wilson scored seven goals and added 12 assists while on loan at Championship side Cardiff City.
Taiwo Awoniyi, who finally received an English work permit this summer, completed a £6.5 million transfer move to Union Berlin where he spent last season on loan.
Finally, Marko Grujic left Liverpool Football Club in a £10.5 million move that saw him join FC Porto where he spent last season on loan.
These three transfers alone set Liverpool FC up very nicely to make a solid addition to Jurgen Klopp's aging squad.
Although three transfers seems like a lot, Liverpool are not done there.
Xherdan Shaqiri has recently come out and revealed that he wants a move away from Liverpool this summer.
When speaking with Corriere dello Sport the Swiss winger said he has an agreement with Liverpool to leave this summer.
“I told Liverpool board I feel ready for a new challenge. They accepted my decision and will now consider bids to sell me. Liverpool won’t stop me this summer,” Shaqiri said.
“I’d love to come back to Italy, and I’d like to play for Lazio.”
Although Shaqiri wants to play for Lazio in Italy, new reports have come out and said that he may be headed for a Bundesliga return.
According to Florian Plettenberg, Xherdan Shaqiri can also imagine a return to Germany and the Bundesliga.
Plettenberg also revealed that Shaqiri's asking price is much lower than before and sits somewhere "below €10m".
At that price, it is expected that several clubs will be interested in signing Shaqiri.
Liverpool could find themselves in a bidding war if they handle the situation properly.
