Liverpool will have to do without Thiago Alcantara for their trip to Manchester City this weekend.

The Reds travel to the Etihad this weekend for a titanic clash with Manchester City in the Premier League.

If you were to glance upon the fixture list at the start of the season, you would’ve earmarked this fixture as the potential title decider going into the final few games.

But only Manchester City are competing for that honour as Liverpool chases a place in the Champions League.

Although Jurgen Klopp’s side has been far their best this campaign, you will still expect them to put on a competitive showing against their recent rivals.

However, they will have to do it without their Spanish midfielder, Thiago, who is suffering from a hip injury.

He was expected to return in time for the fixture but will have to watch on from the sideline.
