Manuel Locatelli and Juventus want to make up for last season’s 5-1 defeat when they visit Napoli this evening and he has advice for Carlos Alcaraz.

“The game with Frosinone must give us the enthusiasm we had lost recently. That desire to get back to winning ways must not be lacking tonight, we are ready for this match,” Locatelli told DAZN.

Juventus were hammered 5-1 at the Stadio Maradona last season, but a great deal has changed since then, as the Bianconeri are now 17 points ahead of their rivals in the Serie A table.

“We do not forget anything. That was a terrible game, but this is a different season and we hope to bring home the result.”

The Bianconeri are forced to completely revamp their midfield, making the journey without Adrien Rabiot, Weston McKennie, Mattia De Sciglio, Moise Kean and Mattia Perin.

It is therefore the opportunity for January loan signing Alcaraz to get his first start in the middle of the park, with Samuel Iling Junior on the left wing.

Curiously, that makes Locatelli the oldest player in this midfield, so does he have advice for Alcaraz?

“Teamwork brings victory, Carlos is a good guy, he listens and I am sure he’ll have a good performance.”
