Ex-Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has become Milan‘s best player in 2024, scoring seven goals in 12 appearances since January.

The English midfielder has justified his €18m price tag at the Stadio Meazza with eight goals and two assists in 31 appearances across all competitions this season.

However, what’s even more impressive is that he scored seven goals from the start of 2024, arguably becoming Milan’s best player in the new year.

The 28-year-old had netted only once in 18 appearances in the first part of the campaign, starting 14 matches across all competitions, but he’s been on fire since January 2024, bagging seven goals in 12 appearances, 11 as a starter.

The England international scored once on Thursday in the first leg of the Europa League Round of 16, which Milan won 4-2 over Slavia Praha at San Siro.

RLC is now Milan’s best scorer in 2024, ahead of Olivier Giroud, another ex-Chelsea, player who has netted five times since January.

Loftus-Cheek is under contract at San Siro until June 2027.
