Romelu Lukaku did not travel with the Roma squad to England for their Europa League Round of 16 clash with Brighton, missing out on the match.

The Giallorossi flew to a thrilling 4-0 win over Roberto De Zerbi’s side in their first meeting at the Stadio Olimpico last week, allowing them to put one foot in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

Lukaku, who scored against Brighton in the first leg, did not train with his Roma teammates in Trigoria on Wednesday morning, sparking fears that he wouldn’t be available for the trip to the English south coast.

As reported by Sky Sports Italia and seen on Roma’s Twitter page, Lukaku did not travel with his Giallorossi teammates for the flight to England, missing out on the second leg of the Europa League Round of 16 with Brighton.

He played the full 90 minutes of their 2-2 draw with Fiorentina on the weekend, and it’s currently unclear what issues are plaguing
