Manchester United aim to sign a left-back in the upcoming summer transfer window and they have identified Girona’s 22-year-old defender Miguel Gutierrez.

Before the next season, Man United are eager to strengthen their defense, according to a report by Fabrizio Romano on GiveMeSport.

In order to guarantee that their full-back lineup has adequate depth and talent, the Red Devils wish to bring in a new left-back. A player they have their eye on is Miguel Gutierrez, a standout star for Girona.

Gutierrez came up the youth ranks at Real Madrid. The 22-year-old was sold to Girona that same summer, despite making it to their first team squad. He joined them and has since been a vital member of the squad, going from strength to strength.

The Spanish team are vying for the La Liga title this season. Gutierrez has been a major factor in their recent dominating run. Throughout his 25 appearances this season, the full-back has contributed five goals.

United have taken notice of his outstanding performances and may add another left-back to the mix in the summer.

They have occasionally been forced to employ Victor Lindelof as a left-back due to their lack of depth.

Luke Shaw is a fantastic full-back, but recently, he has been prone to injuries. Gutierrez is thus being considered by United as a possible long-term replacement.

The €30 million-rated left-back is being monitored by the Red Devils, who may make a bid in the summer. Real Madrid have also been linked to their youth product, despite United’s interest.
