Manchester United may have to find a way to overcome work permit rules regarding a transfer target.

The Red Devils are being linked to talented Chicago Fire playmaker Brian Gutierrez this summer.

The Mail states that United are seriously looking into signing the 19-year-old.

Gutierrez has impressed with both Fire in MLS and the US Men's National Team.

Another club that may look at Gutierrez are Girona, who are a part of the City Football Group.

United may not want rivals Manchester City to get a jump on them to such a talented player.

However, they may not be able to immediately obtain a work permit for Gutierrez, as "players with passports from outside the European Union and the European Economic Area need permission to work in the UK".
