Manchester United and Chelsea are set to do battle for a Barcelona defender this summer.

According to SPORT in Spain, both clubs are 'very, very interested' in signing Barca defender Jules Kounde.

The Frenchman can play at both right-back and centre-back, but wants to leave the Catalan giants.

Kounde is preferred on the right side by Barca, while he wants to play as a center-half.

Given Barcelona's financial issues, they may want to cash in on the Frenchman.

Kounde is one who could be the subject of a bidding war, if more than one team wants to secure his signature.
