Manchester United starlet Alvaro Fernandez is ready for the next chapter in his career.

The left-back, who is spending the season on loan at Granada, has found that deal cut short.

Fernandez is leaving Granada in the coming days and move permanently to Benfica in Portugal.

A statement from Fernandez on Instagram read: "My stay in Granada was special, but not as long as we hoped.

It was a real pleasure to represent this club and I will always be grateful to the fans and the club in general, but above all to the people who spend day to day with me taking care of me and supporting me since day one."

The deal to take him to Benfica is also an initial loan.

However, there is a buy obligation in the agreement that makes it as good as a permanent exit.
